Rakshith is currently a Master's student in the department of Bioengineering at University of California, San Diego. He always dreamt of becoming a doctor but had to give up that dream when he was diagnosed with blood-injury phobia. So, he decided to take up Electronics as his major in undergrad aspiring to build a medical device that could save lives. He designed and built a smart shoe that helped visually impaired people walk with ease. His passion for building novel medical devices led him to pursue a Master's in Bioengineering where he got a chance to explore various avenues of intersection between engineering and medicine. After thorough exploration Rakshith decided to be an impassioned participant of the Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare revolution by actively contributing to it. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities like running, playing sports, hiking, and listening to podcasts and music.
