Nate graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Utah. During his time in school, he worked on a variety of teams in industry and academia. His favorite projects included using machine learning to predict crack propagation, building a genotyper for structural variation in DNA, and building websites for the L.D.S. Church.
Nate's professional interests include software engineering, machine learning, and bioinformatics. His career goal is to save lives by using technology to solve important problems in the life sciences. Nate is excited to be a part of Recursion's inspiring mission of decoding biology to radically improve lives. Nate's interests outside of work include spending time with family, listening to music, watching Real Salt Lake, and playing hockey.
