Matt received a masters degree in electrical engineering from Binghamton University in 2010. Since then he has spent nearly a decade working at nearly every layer of the software and hardware stack. After being a hardware engineer for five years he decided to switch to software as he saw that much of the interesting work was being done there. He worked as a full stack software developer for an ai based HVAC start up and then a SASS project management company. After getting a few years of experience under his belt with these companies he decided to put his software skills to the test at recursion pharmaceuticals. In his free time, Matt enjoys wearing absolutely ridiculous outdoor enthusiast costumes, and standing outside for long periods of time as a way of justifying eating more snacks.
