Marika Xydes received her BS in Biology from Carleton College. After graduation, she joined an academic research lab at Moors Cancer Center where she worked to identify early-stage diagnostic biomarkers for ovarian cancer. She then moved to the R&D department at Quest Diagnostics where she focused on developing diagnostic LDT assays for clinical lab use. She joined Biomarker Strategies in 2015 where she worked to develop a companion diagnostic assay to predict clinical response to immunotherapy treatments in NSCLC. When not at work, she enjoys all things “great outdoors”, baking, and her cats.
