Jing began her journey with an M.D. from Peking University. After completing her M.D. in 2010, she joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for her Ph.D. in Immunology, where she worked on the development of therapeutics for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Jing has also demonstrated that the ATM-mediated DNA damage response is a driving force of cellular senescence and aging. During her free time, Jing enjoys reading and watching science fiction.
