Chad has extensive training in molecular biology, genetics, and infectious disease. He completed his Ph.D. in the department of Human Genetics under the guidance of Dr. Dean Y. Li at the University of Utah where he published exciting work on inflammatory signaling and vascular biology, including the evaluation of potential therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, ARDS, and sepsis. Chad contributes to the planning and execution of core research at Recursion Pharmaceuticals, heads the company's budding programs in revolutionary screening strategies for infectious disease, and figures out how to do whatever else we may deem useful in a given moment. In his free time Chad enjoys spending time with his family, thinking up new experiments, homebrewing, spending time outdoors, and the local ballet scene.
