Alison got her start as a volunteer at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and was hired as a lab aide. After graduation from the University of Utah with a B.S. in biology, she moved to the University’s Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute. In her five years there, she specialized in molecular biology, and learned electrophysiology techniques in a lab which studied hERG potassium channel activators and discovered their binding site locations. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and doing outdoor activities with friends and family.
