Jorge graduated from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) with a BS in (Organic) Chemistry, and that is where his passion for computational chemistry started. Then moved to Karlsruhe (Germany) to obtain his PhD in (Physical) Chemistry working around high accuracy quantum chemistry. He used that knowledge to help create combustion models in the Green group at MIT. While working on high-throughput virtual-screening in the Aspuru-Guzik group at Harvard his career took a change to machine learning and data science. With Kyulux, a company developing last-generation OLEDs for displays, he worked in some of the first real-life applications of HTVS and ML to material discovery. In his spare time, Jorge loves to spend time with his family (In the US and in Spain) and is trying to abandon the first place in the worst golfer on earth competition he currently holds.
